Dr Cora Waschke

born in Hamburg, lives in Berlin.

Doctor of Art History, author and curator specialising in contemporary art.

 

Cora Waschke writes about art, publishes, curates exhibitions and conducts artist talks – both in independent and institutional contexts. Since 2020, she has been artistic director and vice-chair of the Dorothea Konwiarz Foundation for Female Artists. Since 2022, she has been running the art space argent, which she founded. She serves on various juries for the awarding of scholarships.

Cora Waschke studied art history and German language and literature at the University of Hamburg. In addition to her work as a research assistant at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, she completed her doctorate at the art history seminar in Hamburg with a thesis on transparency and reflection in modern architectural photography.
She studied and spent time abroad in Florence, London and Córdoba, Argentina.
